Dear Families,
Welcome to the exhilarating beginning of Term Two at Sri KDU Subang Jaya! We trust you
had a rejuvenating break and are ready for a term filled with enriching experiences and
academic growth.
This term brings forth a myriad of activities, from captivating trips and lively Chinese New
Year celebrations to heart-pounding sports fixtures and compelling science fairs. Deepening
our commitment to a school-community connection, we are thrilled to open our doors
even wider to parents. On Tuesday, 16th January, we extend an invitation to Y9 students
and parents for a workshop about IGCSE options. Take this opportunity to meet our
dedicated teachers, engage in insightful discussions, and explore the syllabi we offer.
Additionally, mark your calendars for our "Parent-Engagement-Program" on the 23rd of
January, providing secondary parents with an opportunity to connect with form teachers
and buddies in the classrooms where your children spend a significant part of their days.
We commenced the term with a dynamic Coffee Morning, shedding light on how we
support students in their academic pathways. Our goal extends beyond them reaching their
potentials; we aim for them to surpass expectations. The recent AS level grades, unveiled
this Wednesday, showcased an impressive 73% increase in our students' achievements.
Furthermore, we take pride in congratulating our A-Level students and team for securing
conditional offers from prestigious Oxbridge and Russell Group universities. Their hard
work, dedication, and academic excellence across a diverse range of subjects, including
Engineering, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Computer Science, Business Management,
Economics, Finance, Artificial Intelligence, and Psychology, reflect not only their individual
talents but also our school's commitment to fostering a culture of safe, happy, and
successful students. This success is a testament to their intellectual prowess and potential
for future success as they embark on an exciting journey towards higher education. We
wish them the very best of luck in their upcoming Summer Examinations.
Adding to the excitement, one of our new initiatives this term is the introduction of
planners—a valuable tool designed to enhance organization and time management skills
among our students. Further in this newsletter, Ms. Clare Lama elaborates on our strategic
utilization of this organizational tool, aiming to facilitate seamless communication with
parents, provide student support, and instill a sense of independence and responsibility.
Anticipating a term filled with learning, growth, and celebration, here's to a successful and
rewarding Term Two!
On behalf of the Senior Leadership Team,
Maryam Jazayeri
We visited numerous international schools in Klang-Valley and Sri KDU Subang Jaya was not even on our list. Reason being it is way out of our travelling radius. However, we are glad we made the visit to the school before our final call, and it was the best decision ever! It was a huge transition period for us during the first 2 weeks into school, but the school’s team (Teachers, Administrative and Parent’s Teacher Association) made us feel right at home. We were given clear guidance and was kept well informed on the happenings in the school. My daughter blended into the community quite well with the care provided by the Homeroom teacher. All the teachers here are the kindest, as she told me. She looks forward to going to school and has become more disciplined in terms on knowing what tasks she needs to complete daily. She has gained so much confidence during this short period of time and was given the encouragement to explore and develop her abilities here. She was just selected as the new Primary House Captain for Year 6 AY2022/2023.
Every parent want to find the ‘perfect’ school for their child and are afraid of making the wrong decision. For us, as long she is safe and happy, we believe, she will eventually find the way to her own success.
