Dear Families,
This week our campus has been filled with Christmas cheer as we celebrated together
through music, performances, and festive fun. Our Music Gala was a wonderful showcase of
talent, with students performing so confidently and joyfully. It was a beautiful reminder of
how talented our young people are, and we are incredibly proud of each and every student
who took part. A very special thank you goes to our Music Department, whose
organisation, dedication, and passion made the event such a meaningful experience for our
whole community.
Our celebrations continued with the Winter Wonderland, where students enjoyed festive
activities and created special memories with their friends. Today the school was sparkling
with Christmas spirit as so many children arrived in joyful festive clothing, from reindeer
jumpers to Christmas hats, bringing warmth and laughter to the end of term.
These shared moments are more than just celebrations. They are part of what makes Sri
KDU Subang Jaya such a special place, where we come together as a diverse community to
honour festivals from all around the world. Through these events, our students build
cultural understanding, confidence, and a genuine sense of belonging.
A heartfelt thank you to the parents who volunteered to sing in our Carol Choir. It was a
pleasure to sing alongside you and your support added something truly memorable to the
occasion. We are also incredibly grateful to the staff who organised today’s Christmas
Assembly. Watching our EYFS and Year 1 students lead the school in song was a particularly
touching moment and a wonderful reminder of the spirit that our youngest learners bring
to our community.
Looking ahead to next year, we are excited once again to be part of several national
competitions, including the Kangaroo Math, Kancil Science, and this year the Beaver
Computational Thinking challenges. Families who would like their child to participate can
sign up via Vircle to take advantage of the early bird rates listed in the poster found below.
More information and guidance will be shared with you early next term, and we look
forward to seeing many of our students take on these enriching opportunities.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back to school, well rested and ready for a
wonderful new term, on Monday, 5th January.
Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Marianne Konhaeuser,
Deputy Head of Primary
On behalf of the Senior Leadership Team.
SAFE, HAPPY AND SUCCESSFUL
We visited numerous international schools in Klang-Valley and Sri KDU Subang Jaya was not even on our list. Reason being it is way out of our travelling radius. However, we are glad we made the visit to the school before our final call, and it was the best decision ever! It was a huge transition period for us during the first 2 weeks into school, but the school’s team (Teachers, Administrative and Parent’s Teacher Association) made us feel right at home. We were given clear guidance and was kept well informed on the happenings in the school. My daughter blended into the community quite well with the care provided by the Homeroom teacher. All the teachers here are the kindest, as she told me. She looks forward to going to school and has become more disciplined in terms on knowing what tasks she needs to complete daily. She has gained so much confidence during this short period of time and was given the encouragement to explore and develop her abilities here. She was just selected as the new Primary House Captain for Year 6 AY2022/2023.
Every parent want to find the ‘perfect’ school for their child and are afraid of making the wrong decision. For us, as long she is safe and happy, we believe, she will eventually find the way to her own success.
