Sri KDU Seconday School Students and Datuk Magendran Take On Mount Kinabalu
In conjunction with Malaysia’s 60th Merdeka celebration, a group of 11 Sri KDU® Secondary School students went on a Mount Kinabalu Expedition. Datuk M. Magendran, the first Malaysian to set foot on the summit of Mount Everest, led the expedition and mentored the students.
With determination and endurance, the students climbed all the way from Timpohon Gate at 1,366.4m to Laban Rata Rest House at 3,272.7m. The students then made their way to the peak which is 4095.2m above sea level.
It was certainly a memorable experience for all the students who joined the expedition.
