04My child's first language is not English, how can the school support his/her learning?
We provide English Language Learning (ELL) supported by the English as an Additional Language team as well as all our teaching staff. The child will be excused from some non-core subjects to enhance their English language skills with ELL teacher. They will be taught grammar, listening, writing, reading, and speaking skills.
05Can teachers give more support if my children are not academically inclined? Do you provide tuition after school?
Teachers will observe students’ day-to-day performances. If there is any student that requires extra attention, help will be provided to them during the school day and through our Co-Curricular programme. All students are encouraged to ask/clarify with the teachers should they need any help. Private tuition by our teachers after school is not permitted nor is it professionally correct.
Curriculum
01What is your syllabus?
For our Foundation Stage, we combine direct teaching with a development approach following the English National Curriculum Early Years Foundation Stage – Development Matters. In Primary, we use an enhanced form of the English National Curriculum and Cambridge International Examination Primary Curriculum. This allows our students to proceed in a seamless manner to the secondary where they are prepared to take on the challenges of IGCSE and A-Levels.
02How do I know if my child is learning?
School progress reports will be shared roughly every 6-7 weeks with two full written reports in December and June. There are also two formal parent-teacher conferences. Teachers also take a proactive approach to email and update parents about their children regularly during each term. However, dialogue is open and encouraged. Should you have any concerns, parents are welcome to set an appointment with teachers to discuss academic performance or school life.
03How heavy is the homework load?
Homework is based on necessity, it’s set in order to reinforce learning from the classroom, practice new skills, inspire new ideas, find information and develop the independent study. Teachers will give sufficient time to complete the homework.
04How often are the examinations?
There are formative & summative assessments throughout the year. Nevertheless, teachers do not rely on assessment to understand students’ progress but also draw from day-to-day observations as well as regular classwork and ongoing in-class formative assessments.

We visited numerous international schools in Klang-Valley and Sri KDU Subang Jaya was not even on our list. Reason being it is way out of our travelling radius. However, we are glad we made the visit to the school before our final call, and it was the best decision ever! It was a huge transition period for us during the first 2 weeks into school, but the school’s team (Teachers, Administrative and Parent’s Teacher Association) made us feel right at home. We were given clear guidance and was kept well informed on the happenings in the school. My daughter blended into the community quite well with the care provided by the Homeroom teacher. All the teachers here are the kindest, as she told me. She looks forward to going to school and has become more disciplined in terms on knowing what tasks she needs to complete daily. She has gained so much confidence during this short period of time and was given the encouragement to explore and develop her abilities here. She was just selected as the new Primary House Captain for Year 6 AY2022/2023.
Every parent want to find the ‘perfect’ school for their child and are afraid of making the wrong decision. For us, as long she is safe and happy, we believe, she will eventually find the way to her own success.
