Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope everyone has had a successful week. This week, all End-of-Year assessments and examinations have been completed and teachers are now starting to be busy marking and writing report comments. The Parent-Teacher Conference will be held on Friday, 14th July from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm in the MPH. The usual arrangement will apply regarding 10-minute conversations. I hope as many parents as possible can attend to celebrate the successes of their child(ren) and be clear about the next steps that can be taken in the new academic year. I look forward to seeing you there.
Well done to those who have participated in the district-level MSSD badminton competition this week and good luck to those who will be competing in basketball in the couple of weeks. For most of the students, this is their first MSSD experience, and as such these first experiences should be taken as a learning opportunity to extend their sporting skills and develop good sportsman/woman characteristics.
Today, the Cambridge Primary and Lower Secondary (Year 9) Checkpoint results came into school and were distributed to children in Year 6 and Year 9. The official certificate will come into school in July. For Secondary, I am pleased to announce that the school is above the international average for English, Mathematics and Science, but for English as a Second Language, sadly we dipped 1 point below the international average for those children taking the examination.
I wish all 75 students involved in the Leadership Camp that will be held tomorrow (24th June), a great experience. Be brave and bold in your participation over the weekend.
Finally, a reminder that next week the school is closed on Thursday 29th June due to the Hari Raya Haji public holiday.
Regards,
April Peters
