Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope all have had a successful week and that any Thaipusam activities went well.
This week saw the end of the IGCSE Mock examination for Year 11 so next week we
return to our normal timetable. As we head into Mandarin week before the holiday, I
remind you as ever there will be opportunities to embrace the event by wearing
traditional dress or red on one of the days and taking part in activities both in and out
of the classroom throughout the week. This year, we have students practising their
skills to produce an in-house dragon dance, utilising the long dragon kites.

🔷 Cambridge IGCSE and Checkpoint Entries
Thank you to all for returning statements of entry. I am waiting for any last-minute
changes that may come out of the Year 11 Mock results. I will be "pressing the button"
to send the entries to Cambridge on Wednesday 7th February, after which you will be
receiving the invoice for payment.
🔷 Cafeteria Survey
As promised a survey will be open next Wednesday 31st January to gain your views
on the new cafeteria operator. The survey will close on Monday 5th February. A link
will be sent in a separate email next week. We look forward to your response.
🔷 Unifrog
The launch of Unifrog happened on Monday with Years 7 to 10. The Year 11 students
will only be introduced to the platform on Monday after assembly. As explained
previously, Unifrog is a one-stop platform to support students make choices about their
futures by giving them the opportunity to find out about themselves and what future
choices might suit them. Thank you to the parents who attended the briefing this
morning. For more information and to log in and use the platform, please see the slide
deck attached here:
Unifrog Slides Deck
To give a flavour of the platform, I share my own interest profile! Each student in Year 7
to Year 10 will have completed their own during their PSHLE period with their
respective form tutors earlier this week.
