Dear Students, Parents and Friends of SIKG,
We started this week with an array of gold, silver and bronze at assembly following our
notable success at the recent KL Sports League Swimming gala. We love to celebrate
the success of our students and will continue to look for opportunities such as these to
compete against other schools. A special mention to our Secondary swimmers who
came second overall despite competing against some far larger schools. There was also
a plethora of medals awarded for our recently completed Sports Day Tele-match. I look
forward with keen anticipation to seeing our young athletes going for gold at next
week’s Sports Day – held at Stadium Sultan Suleiman Klang from 7 am. Parents, please
join us if you can.
Parent Survey
The link to our biannual parent survey will be sent to your email inboxes on Sunday,December 1st. The survey is used to gauge the progress of the school and to guide school improvement planning. The key metric in the survey is the Net Promoter
Score. It is linked to the question How likely are you to recommend the school to a friend or colleague? Scores of 9 or 10 make you a school ‘promoter’, scores of 7 or 8 make you ‘neutral’. Anything below a 7 puts you in the category of ‘detractor’. Of course, we would love for everyone to promote us to their friends, but we understand that there could be issues that you need us to address. If you currently feel inclined to give a score below 7, please contact us to see if your concern can be resolved.
Parents and Guardians Association Meeting and Parent-Teacher Conference Day
Our next PGA meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 4th at 9 am in the school’s vocal room. I will run through an update on the school’s strategic development plan.
Whole School Parent-Teacher Conference Day (PTC), meanwhile, will be held on Tuesday, 10th of December (9 am-5 pm). Primary parents, please contact the respective class teacher via ClassDojo to arrange an appointment. Primary and Secondary specialist meetings will take place throughout the day in the Multi-Purpose Hall on a drop-in basis.
Whole School Christmas Celebration
Please join us if you can for our end-of-term Christmas Concert. The concert will be
held in the MPH from 12 noon to 1.20 pm on Friday, December 13th. We would love to
see family members present to join in the celebration.
Regards,
Rhys Thomas,
Campus Principal
