Dear Students, Parents and Friends of SIKG,
There has been a lot of fun this week at school, which kicked off with a visit to our assembly
from Lala the Squirrel from Aeon Fantasy. This was part of a busy week of book week
celebrations which has also notably included a book fair, character dress-up day and a
visiting author workshop from Ms. Lee Su Ann who wrote The Curse, and A Stitch in Time.
Beyond Book Week, we have also seen the conclusion of our Term 2 educational visits and
planning is underway for our day and overnight trips for Term 3. The most popular of these
is the upcoming Secondary school trip to Beijing. Letters have been distributed to
Secondary students and, at the time of writing, only four spaces remain. Please contact Mr.
Chang to find out more at tk.chang@srikdu.edu.my.
Destiny Football Academy
I am very keen to increase the number of sporting opportunities offered to our children,
particularly where elite-level coaching can be made available. Part of this involves our
internal expansion of the PE department. The other key component is establishing strong
external partnerships as we have done with Destiny Football Academy. Sadly, at present
take-up is slow with very few registrations which may mean the account ceases to function
out of our SIKG campus.
If you are interested in the academy and wish to see it retained, please register by calling
012 383 1848.
