Dear Students, Parents and Friends of SIKG,
Congratulations to the entire cast and crew of Alice in Wonderland on a wonderfully musical and colourful performance on Thursday night. Our main cast, supporting cast, musicians, and stage crew captured the imagination of the audience with confidence, creativity, and energy, and should feel immensely proud of what they achieved on stage with their show planned, created and performed by the students themselves.
My thanks also go to the teaching staff who helped guide the students, as well as to those who supported the production through set design, scenery, and costume coordination. These behind-the-scenes contributions are vital to the success of any school production and were clear in the quality of the performance.
I would like to offer a special personal message of gratitude to the dedicated group of parents who gave so generously of their time in the lead-up to the show. Their hard work painting, cutting, building, and transforming both the inside and outside of the hall created a special atmosphere for the evening. Their commitment and teamwork added to the sense of occasion and elevated the entire production, and we are enormously grateful for their efforts.
Thank you also to all parents who invested in costumes and supported the production by purchasing tickets. The proceeds from ticket sales allowed us to invest more fully in this year’s production and will enable us to set aside additional funds toward the development of our next performance. While the school allocates an annual budget for productions, like in most schools, production costs almost always exceed this amount. The generosity of our community in supporting ticket sales allows us to grow our ambition year on year and continue providing our students with enriching, high-quality creative experiences.
Once again, thank you to everyone who played a part in making Alice in Wonderland such a memorable evening.
Congratulations also to all the wonderfully talented students who competed in the Klang round of XCL’s Got Talent on Monday morning. We saw some courageous and entertaining performances on the day, and I am pleased to confirm that all competitors have progressed to the final at Sri KDU Kota Damansara on the 19th and 20th of April.
Regards,
Rhys Thomas,
Campus Principal
