Dear Students, Parents and Friends of SIKG,
As we move deeper into term 3, life continues to reflect the breadth and balance of learning at SIKG. We were delighted by the excellent performances at XCL’s Got Talent at Sri KDU Kota Damansara on Monday. The standard continues to grow year on year, and our students performed with confidence, creativity, and flair, making it a thoroughly enjoyable showcase.
On the sporting front, our Secondary Basketball Team gave a valiant effort at the MSSD Basketball tournament, demonstrating teamwork, determination, and resilience throughout their matches.
Congratulations to our Primary Team on a wonderfully interactive Mathematics Learning showcase. The children had devised ingenious activities to show parents and friends their skills. I can confirm from trying each year group’s exhibits that my Mathematics level means I am nearly ready for Year 3!
In conjunction with Autism Awareness Month, we were pleased to host a series of autism workshops today for students, parents, and teachers, led by Ms. Tiffany Loh from the Early Autism Project. These sessions provided valuable insight, understanding, and practical strategies, reinforcing our commitment to inclusion and informed support across the school community.
Beyond campus, it has been the turn of students in Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 to engage in enriching school trips to Mah Meri Cultural Centre, Escape Putrajaya, Superpark Avenue K and Sepang International Circuit, respectively. Students gained memorable learning experiences beyond the classroom, which tend to stick for life.
For our Year 11 students, they began their formal written IGCSE examinations today, starting with Chinese First Language and Chinese Foreign Language. We wish them focus, calm, and confidence as they begin this important assessment period.
Regards,
Rhys Thomas,
Campus Principal
