Dear Students, Parents and Friends of SIKG,
It’s been a week of celebrations and excitement with rites of passage marked and new adventures across the school.
The headline act was Year 6, celebrating the beginning of the end of their Primary school years in a glamorous ceremony on Thursday (11th June). That followed hot on the heels of their Residential Camp at Eagle Ranch, Port Dickson. I gather a lot of fun, and not much sleep was the story of the trip as the children cemented friendships for life and prepared to embark on their Secondary school adventures.
The other big celebration of the week saw our littlest learners preparing to step up into the ‘big school’. EYFS 2 celebrated their moving up with a warm but no less spectacular ceremony on Friday morning. The children have had a wonderful two years of exploration and learning with Ms. Angelin and Ms. Yashila and now take their next steps as they get ready for Year 1.
Congratulations also to Year 11, who passed another milestone this week as they completed their final IGCSE examination. We wish them well as they await their results in August, and in the meantime, they can enjoy an action-packed transition programme as they prepare for their next adventure.
Finally, we welcome the return of our Secondary School international adventurers who have safely arrived back from Japan at the time of this newsletter's production. They have shared some photos of their new life-long memories, and it really does look to have been a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Regards,
Rhys Thomas,
Campus Principal
