Dear Families,
At Sri KDU, we pride ourselves on ensuring our students receive a holistic education including top academic outcomes. We ensure our students have a strong mastery in core subjects, that they develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills and that they are prepared and are able to navigate through a vast amount of data to extract reliable information through continuous practice in research skills. We ensure our students develop effective communication skills so that they are able to articulate their ideas clearly and that they have an appreciation for different perspectives, cultures and societies in order to be a better global citizen.
As our Year 11 students embark this week on their first set of Mock exams in preparation for their up and coming final IGCSE examinations in April 2024, we encourage our students not to focus on the final grades in these exams but to use them as positive reinforcement, to acknowledge the areas they have secured knowledge in which should boost their confidence and also allow them to identify the areas that still need development.
The Mock exams prepare our students for the real examinations by ensuring they manage their time effectively, that they can identify more challenging topics and focus their attention on them, seeking additional help from teachers as well as independently working on these particular topics. They allow the student to analyse their mistakes and give them valuable feedback from their teachers.
From Term two students in Year 11 will be able to attend additional revision sessions as well scheduled CCA’s for all subjects to ensure there are no gaps in their learning.
We at KDU, strive for each and every student, regardless of their ability to reach their full potential. With their continuous, hard work and dedication, parental support and guidance from their dedicated teachers, our students can and will achieve their goals.
As I reflect on the schools last year IGCSE results, I urge each student to believe that “I too can achieve,” and if they do not meet their expectations in these mock exams, it is not too late, for it is important to remember that,
“Failure is the key to success; each mistake teaches us something.” Morihei Ueshiba.

We visited numerous international schools in Klang-Valley and Sri KDU Subang Jaya was not even on our list. Reason being it is way out of our travelling radius. However, we are glad we made the visit to the school before our final call, and it was the best decision ever! It was a huge transition period for us during the first 2 weeks into school, but the school’s team (Teachers, Administrative and Parent’s Teacher Association) made us feel right at home. We were given clear guidance and was kept well informed on the happenings in the school. My daughter blended into the community quite well with the care provided by the Homeroom teacher. All the teachers here are the kindest, as she told me. She looks forward to going to school and has become more disciplined in terms on knowing what tasks she needs to complete daily. She has gained so much confidence during this short period of time and was given the encouragement to explore and develop her abilities here. She was just selected as the new Primary House Captain for Year 6 AY2022/2023.
Every parent want to find the ‘perfect’ school for their child and are afraid of making the wrong decision. For us, as long she is safe and happy, we believe, she will eventually find the way to her own success.
