Dear Parents,
We’re so excited to share that our recent Lunar New Year assembly was a huge success! The performances were mesmerizing, and the decorations and energy from our students and staff were absolutely fantastic. It was a wonderful way to celebrate this special occasion together as a school community. Don’t miss the photos further down in the newsletter—they really capture the joy of the event!
Additionally, a large, vibrant crowd attended our first Lunar New Year Evening celebration yesterday. The community came together to enjoy a variety of traditional Chinese activities and performances, with contributions from both students and parents. A definite highlight of the evening was the Drummers Workshop performance—students learned how to play the Chinese drums in less than two hours and delivered a sensational show after our assembly this morning!
At our school, inclusivity isn’t just something we talk about during big celebrations—it’s something we live every day. To keep building on this, we’re excited to announce Inclusion Week, happening right after the break. It’s going to be a week full of fun activities focused on celebrating unity and diversity. And to make things even more exciting, we’re combining it with Spirit Week! Each day will have a different color theme, and we’re inviting all students to dress in the color of the day as a fun way to celebrate both individuality and togetherness. You’ll find all the details in the poster further down.
Last but not least, this term is a significant one for our Year 9 students as we focus on IGCSE pathways and how we can guide them—and you—to reach and exceed their potential. The transition from Year 9 to Year 10 is an important milestone, and we are committed to supporting our students every step of the way.
We have also begun laying the groundwork for the next stage of academic transitions—A-levels. Recently, we hosted a 'Chat and Dash' session where our Year 11 students had the opportunity to approach A-level teachers, ask about course offerings, explore content, and understand exam expectations. This is just the start of our guidance for Year 11 students. After their mock exams, we will hold regular mentoring sessions to help them identify the best A-level pathway, ensuring it aligns with their future university goals and career aspirations.
At Sri KDU, we recognize that transitioning between academic stages can feel overwhelming, but we are here to provide unwavering support. From Year 6 to secondary school, Year 9 to IGCSE and then onto A-levels, our priority is to guide and empower students as they take these pivotal steps toward their future. Stay tuned for more updates on how we continue to make these transitions smooth, informed, and successful!"
Have a lovely weekend,
Maryam Jazayeri,

We visited numerous international schools in Klang-Valley and Sri KDU Subang Jaya was not even on our list. Reason being it is way out of our travelling radius. However, we are glad we made the visit to the school before our final call, and it was the best decision ever! It was a huge transition period for us during the first 2 weeks into school, but the school’s team (Teachers, Administrative and Parent’s Teacher Association) made us feel right at home. We were given clear guidance and was kept well informed on the happenings in the school. My daughter blended into the community quite well with the care provided by the Homeroom teacher. All the teachers here are the kindest, as she told me. She looks forward to going to school and has become more disciplined in terms on knowing what tasks she needs to complete daily. She has gained so much confidence during this short period of time and was given the encouragement to explore and develop her abilities here. She was just selected as the new Primary House Captain for Year 6 AY2022/2023.
Every parent want to find the ‘perfect’ school for their child and are afraid of making the wrong decision. For us, as long she is safe and happy, we believe, she will eventually find the way to her own success.
