Dear Parents,
This week has been filled with exciting firsts and wonderful community moments, from
thrilling swimming galas to the launch of our canteen open lunches. It’s been a pleasure
seeing our students shine, our families engage, and opportunities for families grow.
For the first time this week, we hosted separate swimming galas for Years 1-6, giving each
year group their own moment to compete and celebrate. The energy poolside was
fantastic, with students giving their all and cheering each other on. It was a joy to witness
their determination, team spirit, and progress in the water—well done to everyone who
took part and thank you to the parents who sat (very hotly!) on poolside with us to cheer
children on! Huge thank you to Coach Khoo and Salsa who have lead on these events this
week, supported wonderfully by the PE team and our parent volunteers.
We also welcomed 50 parents into school this week to join us for our first Canteen Open
Days, giving them a chance to experience lunch just as their children do. The response was
overwhelmingly positive, with parents praising the variety and quality of meals and
appreciating the opportunity to see school life in action. Thank you to all who attended and
who have provided both feedback and suggestions; this opportunity will become a
standing feature of our calendar giving parents the opportunity to regularly dine with us.
Following this initiative, we will also create an FAQ page for parents regarding our canteen
to provide greater transparency and understanding of our food services. You will find the
menu for the upcoming week below incase you would like more information and to
encourage your child to take the “delicious” food based on a meal option they might
favour.
Finally, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude for the thoughtful responses and
feedback we have received following the release of our fee adjustment letter this week. We
deeply appreciate the trust and understanding shown by our community as we outline the
future pathway of our school and are excited as we continue to develop, grow and provide
a safe, happy and successful environment for your children. Your engagement and feedback
affirm our shared commitment to delivering the highest quality education and continuous
improvement for our students. We remain dedicated to keeping you informed as we move
forward together.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support in making our school a vibrant and
inspiring place for our children.
Have a lovely weekend,
Cassie Fleming,
Principal,
On behalf of the Senior Leadership Team.
SAFE, HAPPY AND SUCCESSFUL
We visited numerous international schools in Klang-Valley and Sri KDU Subang Jaya was not even on our list. Reason being it is way out of our travelling radius. However, we are glad we made the visit to the school before our final call, and it was the best decision ever! It was a huge transition period for us during the first 2 weeks into school, but the school’s team (Teachers, Administrative and Parent’s Teacher Association) made us feel right at home. We were given clear guidance and was kept well informed on the happenings in the school. My daughter blended into the community quite well with the care provided by the Homeroom teacher. All the teachers here are the kindest, as she told me. She looks forward to going to school and has become more disciplined in terms on knowing what tasks she needs to complete daily. She has gained so much confidence during this short period of time and was given the encouragement to explore and develop her abilities here. She was just selected as the new Primary House Captain for Year 6 AY2022/2023.
Every parent want to find the ‘perfect’ school for their child and are afraid of making the wrong decision. For us, as long she is safe and happy, we believe, she will eventually find the way to her own success.
