Dear Parents,
As we draw the academic year to a close, next week, it’s with immense pride and gratitude
that we reflect on a year of growth, achievement, and community. This year saw us achieve
successful COBIS accreditation, reaffirming the strength and quality of our provision. Our
students have represented the school across the globe, participating in enriching
international experiences in Japan, Thailand, Switzerland, and China, building friendships,
memories, and global perspectives. We have seen significant development of our Arts and
Sports programs with significantly enhanced opportunities and a curriculum development
into STEAM and AI. We look ahead with great anticipation to what we expect to be record-
breaking IGCSE and A Level results this summer; a testament to the hard work of our
students and the unwavering support of our teachers and families.
Today, we took a moment to say goodbye to several valued colleagues: Simon, Jennie,
Marji, Paul, Sarah, Elena, Sally, Naina, Vanitha, Nicola, Denise, and Stuart. Each of them
has made a lasting contribution to our community, and we wish them every success and
happiness in the journeys ahead.
Looking forward, we are excited about the continued growth of our school and
development planned for next year. Please rest assured that class sizes remain capped at
25, in accordance with our licensing agreement with the Ministry of Education (MOE), and
this will not be affected by the school’s expansion. In fact, we anticipate maintaining our
current average and where demand has increased in specific sections of the school, we are
responding by opening new classes with new teachers; this will further enhance
differentiated instruction and personalised support. Further details about all of our
incoming teachers will be shared next week, as will our book lists and bookshop opening
times through the summer period. We’re also thrilled to be adding new learning spaces and
facilities, alongside a significant increase in staffing, to further enrich the educational
experience for every student.
As we approach the final days of term, we hope you will join us in celebrating the year
through our Art Exhibition, Music Gala, Celebration Assemblies, and Class Parties. These
events reflect the creativity, joy, and spirit that define our community.
On behalf of the entire team, thank you for your continued partnership and support. We
wish all our families a safe, restful, and happy summer break when it comes next Thursday.
Have a lovely weekend,
Cassie Fleming,
Principal,
On behalf of the Senior Leadership Team.
SAFE, HAPPY AND SUCCESSFUL
We visited numerous international schools in Klang-Valley and Sri KDU Subang Jaya was not even on our list. Reason being it is way out of our travelling radius. However, we are glad we made the visit to the school before our final call, and it was the best decision ever! It was a huge transition period for us during the first 2 weeks into school, but the school’s team (Teachers, Administrative and Parent’s Teacher Association) made us feel right at home. We were given clear guidance and was kept well informed on the happenings in the school. My daughter blended into the community quite well with the care provided by the Homeroom teacher. All the teachers here are the kindest, as she told me. She looks forward to going to school and has become more disciplined in terms on knowing what tasks she needs to complete daily. She has gained so much confidence during this short period of time and was given the encouragement to explore and develop her abilities here. She was just selected as the new Primary House Captain for Year 6 AY2022/2023.
Every parent want to find the ‘perfect’ school for their child and are afraid of making the wrong decision. For us, as long she is safe and happy, we believe, she will eventually find the way to her own success.
