Dear Parents and Guardians,
I trust you are well reading this. This week, I would like to congratulate all Secondary students for the way they have handled the End-of-Year examinations to date. The examinations for Year 10 students continue next week, and the Primary students start
their assessments – good luck to all! We have followed the IGCSE format for Secondary examinations to ensure that all students become very familiar with the experience and expectations. To date, the students have behaved impeccably following in the footsteps
of Year 11 who completed their IGCSE exams last week.
As you are aware, the Ministry of Education has released a new heat management guidance that gives more freedom to all schools. Please find attached the latest Heat Management policy in the email that is sent out to you. For your information, please be assured that we monitor and ensure that all of our children are kept safe. The new guidelines have allowed us to re-schedule some of the planned Primary trips and also, we are reinstating the Swimming Gala. To keep you informed of new dates, I am re-sending an updated school calendar here as below.
Looking forward, I am excited about all the activities and opportunities that will take place before the end of the school year, the first of which is the 2nd leadership camp taking place on the 24th and 25th of June. The final students’ briefing will take place on Tuesday, 20th June with Mr Chang. We also have a number of teams or individuals taking part in MSSD (district-level sports) competitions, so we wish them good luck and great success in the competitions. Thanks in advance to all staff who are supporting these activities to nurture character and leadership development.
Have a pleasant weekend.
April Peters
