Dear Parent and Guardians,
I hope this addition finds you all well. Next week, we are moving into Assessment Week,
which is an opportunity to reaffirm the progress of the students to enable the next steps to
be planned and give feedback to parents at the PTC which will happen in December.
This week, we concluded the telematches from EYFS to Year 11. The event had to be moved
indoors but the events remained the same. A big thank you to the telematch organisers
lead by Mr Zul. It was great to see all four houses in competition but more importantly, also
to see them working together to complete the challenges set and encourage each other.
The results from the telematch will go towards the Sports Day. As for Sports Day, just like
last year, it will be held at Klang Stadium, so I hope as many of you as possible can join us
for this amazing event of competition and team spirit! We will again be having a parent/
teacher race so, for those who will be joining us you may need to step up your training!
This week, you should all have received the email via Engage regarding the signing up for
Term 2 CCL. As a reminder, if the choice is not accepted and then the activity is full, another
choice should be made. Due to the nature of some activities, we need to limit the numbers
of students.
Thank you to those who attended the Delischool presentation and tasting session this
afternoon. All the questions were answered, and the way forward is clear. The video of the
presentation session will be sent to parents shortly alongside a set of FAQs. The parents
and students who attended were very happy with the food of the tasting session. Moving
forward, there will be a webinar towards the end of November (date to be confirmed) to
explain the move from Vircle to Delischool. We will schedule the webinar in the evening to
try to accommodate as many parents as possible.
Next week, I am looking forward to the Prefects Installation and saying thank you to those
who have served the school. The library will be launching its Christmas Competitions on
Monday to include creative writing, book-themed decorations and a holiday reading
challenge. For the winners, there will be dojo points and house points given.
Parental Survey - 27th November to 8th December
The date for the survey has been set to open on the 27th of November and will close on
the 8th of December. I will send an email explaining the process and how the survey works.
We are aiming for a 70% return rate this time. So, I do urge all parents to complete the
survey.
REPEAT: Calling Year 11 , Year 6, and Year 9 Parents: Coffee Morning 8th December
8:00 am to 8:45 am
Please save the date. I would like to invite all Year 11, Year 6, and Year 9 parents to a Coffee
Morning on 8th December, with the focus of the session being the Cambridge IGCSE and
Checkpoint Examinations. The session will explain the whole process of entries to
certificates. Your child's statement of entry for the examinations will also be available at the
session and all Cambridge exam related questions will be answered. The formal invite will
be sent out on 26th November.
Have a great weekend.
Regards,
April Peters
