Dear Students, Parents and Friends of SIKG,
Congratulations to our Secondary school swimmers who competed in the Swimming
Gala today. Well done for your sterling efforts and you deserve a well-earned rest this
weekend.
This week we also launched our new house identities. The house system will be used
not just for sports but also to promote excellence and competition in a range of fields
such as music, debate and much more. Points will also be used to encourage positive
characteristic and values. Students will remain in the same colour houses but now will
be members of Phoenix (Red), Dragon (Green), Kraken (Blue) or Griffin (Yellow). Our
students selected these names during a poll earlier in the term.
Finally, thank you to those parents who joined me for the cafeteria open session. Your
feedback will help to continually improve the cafeteria service for the children.
Book Week and Book Day
Next week is Book Week with a range of activities planned by our wonderful Librarian
Ms. Hajar. The highlight of the week will be on Thursday, 6th of March when SIKG
students can participate in World Book Day. Children all over the world will go to school
dressed as their favourite book characters.
