Dear Parents,
As we reach the end of a full and energising half term, there is a great deal to celebrate
across our school community.
Over the past weeks, our students have shown compassion, determination, resilience, and
ambition in so many different ways. From vibrant curriculum showcases and spirited Sports
Days in the primary school, to the focus demonstrated during mock examinations, this has
been a half term defined by commitment and momentum. We are especially proud of our
students who are continuing to secure offers from Russell Group universities, and of those
who have excelled in Engineering competitions, MUN competitions and Oxbridge-style
debates — achievements that reflect both intellectual depth and confident aspiration.
At the same time, International Week and Mental Health Awareness Week reminded us this
half term that strength is not measured by academic or competitive success alone. It is
found in our diversity, in the respect we show for different cultures and perspectives, and in
the way we support one another as one community. As an international school, we
recognise that excellence and wellbeing are not competing priorities — they are
interconnected. Achievement is most meaningful when it is grounded in belonging,
balance, and care for one another. We are strongest when we grow together, champion one
another’s success, and remain united in our shared purpose.
Next week, we look forward to celebrating Chinese New Year. The Lunar New Year offers an
opportunity to honour the year that has passed and to step forward with intention into the
year ahead. The Year of the Horse symbolises energy, resilience, courage, and forward
momentum. The Horse is known for its determination and drive — qualities that feel
particularly fitting for our community as we continue striving towards high standards and
ambitious goals. It reminds us that progress requires focus, confidence, and a clear sense of
direction.
As we close this half term, we do so with gratitude for the hard work of our students, the
dedication of our staff, and the continued partnership of our families.
To all those celebrating, we wish you a joyful and prosperous Lunar New Year. May the Year
of the Horse bring strength, happiness, and exciting opportunities for the months ahead.
Gong Xi Fa Cai!
Warm regards,
Mrs Cassie Fleming,

SAFE, HAPPY AND SUCCESSFUL
My son loves Sri KDU International School Subang Jaya. He enjoys good quality teachers who build his self-confidence and motivation. He is immersed in daily exchange of best practices with his fellow classmates. His learning is not confined to the classroom as lessons include physical education where various types of sports are available. Above all, his friends and classmates here are able to collaborate positively to bring out the best in one another.
We cannot possibly itemise every single reason he loves it here but this school is now his second home – and that is saying a lot!
