Dear Families,
It is such a pleasure to see our students being able to participate in many exciting activities such as competitions, field trips, live performances and all the kinds of joyous moments school life has to offer. We also have a much greater appreciation for this after two years of operating within the restrictions of the pandemic, which sadly took away some of the fun and exciting events our students usually looked forward to.
As teachers, we strive daily to engage the students in every lesson and find various ways to achieve this; field trips are such a useful educational tool that we use to bring learning alive outside of the classroom. This is so important as it enables the students to reflect, make connections to the real world and gain a deeper understanding of the different themed units that are covered in the curriculum. Year 2 were the first year group to kick off our field trips in Primary school this year and their destination was Farm in the City. The excursion was undoubtedly exciting and memorable as the students had the opportunity to visit various animal exhibits and also interact with some of the wildlife. Next week, Year 6 will be having their field trip at WindLab Indoor Skydiving, 1 Utama where they will get to experience the effects of air resistance first-hand in a simulation of an outdoor skydive. For the past few weeks, the Year 6 classrooms have been buzzing with excitement, and I have no doubt that for them this trip will be an unforgettable memory.
It has been quite a busy and eventful week for our PE department as we had a few sport fixtures which were held in other schools. This included benchball, swimming and football. The events were a great success and it was a delight to see students beaming with pride on their arrival back to school. A special thanks to the PE team for their excellent planning and organisation.
Last but not least, we ended the school week with a focus on Remembrance Day where students were introduced to why this day is important and why it is commemorated every year. As a sign of respect, the whole school held two minutes of silence at 11am to remember and honour those who have died in the line of duty. Next week on Monday, we will be celebrating Odd Socks Day and it will be wonderful to witness our students and families participating in celebrating diversity and spreading kindness.
Please be aware we will be closed on Friday 18th November due to the Public Holiday announced for the upcoming General Election.
Have a wonderful weekend.

We visited numerous international schools in Klang-Valley and Sri KDU Subang Jaya was not even on our list. Reason being it is way out of our travelling radius. However, we are glad we made the visit to the school before our final call, and it was the best decision ever! It was a huge transition period for us during the first 2 weeks into school, but the school’s team (Teachers, Administrative and Parent’s Teacher Association) made us feel right at home. We were given clear guidance and was kept well informed on the happenings in the school. My daughter blended into the community quite well with the care provided by the Homeroom teacher. All the teachers here are the kindest, as she told me. She looks forward to going to school and has become more disciplined in terms on knowing what tasks she needs to complete daily. She has gained so much confidence during this short period of time and was given the encouragement to explore and develop her abilities here. She was just selected as the new Primary House Captain for Year 6 AY2022/2023.
Every parent want to find the ‘perfect’ school for their child and are afraid of making the wrong decision. For us, as long she is safe and happy, we believe, she will eventually find the way to her own success.
