Dear Families,
We are approaching the end of a very busy Term 1 and the school team is working energetically behind the scenes to prepare what promises to be an exciting series of festive community events. There will be some respite however as we have officially directed by the ministry of education that this Monday 28th November will be a school holiday and that students are not to come to school.
Normal lessons will recommence on Tuesday 29th November.
Please note that Year 12 parent teacher meetings will take place next week and students have been informed on how to reserve a consultation slot with their teachers. For all students, please note that End of Term 1 reports will be released on Monday 5th December. For children in Primary School, these will be followed by online parent teacher meetings on Tuesday 6th December and Wednesday 7th December. As per the existing format, parents will be able to sign up for a 10 minute individual slot between 3:30 PM and 5:30 PM. Details on how to sign up will be sent nearer the time. Please note CCAs will not be running during the last week of term and so will be unaffected.
One of our promises to students is that we future proof them and part of this is offering advice and guidance on opportunities for life after Sri KDU. Over the last few days, we have conducted a Careers Week where students have had the opportunity to speak with representatives of universities so that they can make informed decisions about their future educational pathways. It is often noted that a good education opens doors and, while this is certainly true, it is also important that young people have the necessary experience and frame of reference to make decisions about which doors they wish to open and enter through. It is for this reason that we place great emphasis on not only educating our students, but making sure that they are able to progress beyond their time with us onto something that they will find fulfilling and rewarding, and also where they will continue to be happy and successful.
Tomorrow we are hosting an A level open day on campus and we would like to thank all staff members involved in preparing and supporting this informative and supportive event.
Looking forward to after the Christmas break, we are delighted to announce that Ms Johnson has been conducting auditions for a Year 5 – 11 school production of Alice @ Wonderland, which is an adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s much loved classic children’s story.
Finally, today we hosted during the weekly leadership coffee morning, a feedback session on the latest parent survey. We would like to thank all families for taking the time to share their views and recommendations and also the parents who attended today’s session. All schools have areas for improvement and we will be acting upon the recommendations that have been shared, including continuing to improve toilet facilities on site for adults and children. We will also look at further adapting communications so that messages can be relayed with efficiency and in a convenient manner for families. This survey continues the year on year improvement taking place and we thank all community partners for their generous and unwavering support.
Have a lovely impromptu long weekend and we will see all students back on Tuesday.

We visited numerous international schools in Klang-Valley and Sri KDU Subang Jaya was not even on our list. Reason being it is way out of our travelling radius. However, we are glad we made the visit to the school before our final call, and it was the best decision ever! It was a huge transition period for us during the first 2 weeks into school, but the school’s team (Teachers, Administrative and Parent’s Teacher Association) made us feel right at home. We were given clear guidance and was kept well informed on the happenings in the school. My daughter blended into the community quite well with the care provided by the Homeroom teacher. All the teachers here are the kindest, as she told me. She looks forward to going to school and has become more disciplined in terms on knowing what tasks she needs to complete daily. She has gained so much confidence during this short period of time and was given the encouragement to explore and develop her abilities here. She was just selected as the new Primary House Captain for Year 6 AY2022/2023.
Every parent want to find the ‘perfect’ school for their child and are afraid of making the wrong decision. For us, as long she is safe and happy, we believe, she will eventually find the way to her own success.
