Dear Families,
We hope this newsletter finds you in the best of spirits as we embark on an exciting journey down the rabbit hole of news and events from school this week. Our campus has been buzzing with a series of remarkable happenings that we are thrilled to share with you.
First and foremost, we are overjoyed to celebrate the resounding success of the first night of our magical production of "Alice at Wonderland." The magic of theatre lies in its ability to transport us to places beyond our imagination; our talented students captivated our hearts in the opening night on Thursday, taking us to an enchanted world with no phone and no internet………. From the captivating individual performances to the beautiful set design, it was truly a spectacle to behold. We commend the talented cast, who brought forth their characters unique personalities, quirks and complexities and to the whole crew, who have worked tirelessly over the past few months to bring our first whole school production into reality. Finally, a special mention needs to be made to Ms Ann Peters who has orchestrated the production, inspiring our students to be the best they can be.
As we reflect upon the journey of our students, today marked an important chapter in the lives of year 11; Year 11 Graduation. A class of exceptional individuals who have not only excelled academically but also blossomed into confident and compassionate young adults ceremonially left the secondary school through our main doors. Throughout their time with us, they have exhibited tremendous leadership qualities, setting shining examples for their peers and the younger members of our school community. We are confident that they will continue to achieve great things as they embark on the next chapter of their educational journey. We know many are staying with us to complete their A Levels but recognise for some, today was goodbye. We wish them well with their futures and ask when in doubt, to lead with their hearts and kindness.
In the spirit of fostering leadership and nurturing the talents of our students, this week, before Year 11 Graduation, we have also had a full A-Level Taster Week in school. This fantastic initiative provided our young minds with the opportunity to explore an array of subjects and gain valuable insights into the A-Level curriculum. The week was filled with engaging workshops, thought-provoking discussions, and hands-on experiences, enabling our students to make informed decisions about their academic pathways. We are immensely proud of their enthusiasm and commitment to discovering their passions and charting their future paths and as spoken about during graduation today, it was a pleasure to see students so relaxed and happy in school following a period of very stressful examinations.
At our school, we firmly believe that happy children are the foundation of successful education. It is with immense joy that we witness the smiles and laughter that fill our corridors each day. Our dedicated team of teachers and staff, along with our supportive parents and guardians, work tirelessly to create an environment where every child feels valued, nurtured, and inspired to reach their fullest potential. Together, we strive to empower our students, fostering a sense of belonging and providing them with boundless opportunities to grow, learn, and thrive. Thank you to all parents who have completed our parent satisfaction survey which has been on going the past two weeks, your feedback allows us to take parent voice into our development; ensuing a range of perspectives are taken in and used for our continuous improvement.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the entire school community for your unwavering support and commitment to our students' education. We look forward to a fun filled final three weeks of term with opportunities for continued growth, and new opportunities for our children to shine.
Have a wonderful weekend!
On behalf of the Senior Leadership Team,
Cassie Fleming
Principal
We visited numerous international schools in Klang-Valley and Sri KDU Subang Jaya was not even on our list. Reason being it is way out of our travelling radius. However, we are glad we made the visit to the school before our final call, and it was the best decision ever! It was a huge transition period for us during the first 2 weeks into school, but the school’s team (Teachers, Administrative and Parent’s Teacher Association) made us feel right at home. We were given clear guidance and was kept well informed on the happenings in the school. My daughter blended into the community quite well with the care provided by the Homeroom teacher. All the teachers here are the kindest, as she told me. She looks forward to going to school and has become more disciplined in terms on knowing what tasks she needs to complete daily. She has gained so much confidence during this short period of time and was given the encouragement to explore and develop her abilities here. She was just selected as the new Primary House Captain for Year 6 AY2022/2023.
Every parent want to find the ‘perfect’ school for their child and are afraid of making the wrong decision. For us, as long she is safe and happy, we believe, she will eventually find the way to her own success.
