Dear Families,
As we close today at the end of another academic year, it is with a sense of pride and gratitude that I write this newsletter introduction to reflect upon the journey we have shared. The past year has been filled with first experiences, unforgettable moments, and incredible growth for our school community.
One of the highlights of this year has been found this week with our music gala last night, where our talented students showcased their creativity, teamwork, and dedication. The talent and passion displayed on stage were inspiring, reminding us of the power of the arts to nurture self-expression and confidence. A special thank you to Ms Ann for her determination, love and ambition for our students. Another highlight of the past two weeks has been the Walkathon in aid of the Malaysian Cancer Society. Over this week and last, it gives me great pride to share we have raised over RM36,000; money which will go to a cause close to the hearts of some staff. Thank you for your donations and for support you gave your children in doing this activity.
Amidst the triumphs mentioned above from the last two weeks, it is with mixed emotions that we bid farewell today to some of our colleagues who have decided to embark on new adventures. While we will miss their expertise and dedication, their legacy is woven into the fabric of our school through the laughter we have shared and the impact they have had upon your children. Their contributions have played a vital role in shaping the safe, happy, and successful learners we are proud to call our students. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of them and wish them continued success in their future endeavours. Thank you to Mr Tait, Ms Madge, Ms Priscilla, Ms Natasha, Ms May, Ms Elishama, Ms Michael, Ms Moonie, Mrs Ball, Ms Ann, Ms Farah, Mr Steyn and Mr Zaman, you will be missed.
However, as some leave, we want to reassure you that the heart of our school community will remain unchanged. The commitment and passion of our staff, both new and existing, will continue to guide and inspire our students, ensuring that they receive the quality education they deserve. Below is an overview of staff who are joining us next year, two further candidates information will be shared once we have received their biographies. You will note that there are more staff joining than leaving which shows our continued growth and development as school. All information will be on our website before the beginning of the academic year so you have this to hand when you need.
I would also like to take this opportunity to express our sincere appreciation for the unwavering support shown by our parents, guardians, and the wider community throughout this academic year. Your involvement, encouragement, and collaboration have been instrumental in creating a nurturing environment where our students thrive. Your continued partnership is invaluable, and we look forward to many more fruitful years together as your children grow.
As we pause to reflect on the achievements, challenges, and growth we have experienced, let us not forget the most important aspect of our school community: our students. Their infectious enthusiasm, boundless curiosity, and commitment to positively impacting others have been the driving force behind our collective success. We are immensely proud of each and every one of them and remain steadfast in our dedication to their holistic development. I am reminded of a quote from J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series which I mentioned in both the year 6 graduation earlier on this week and in the Secondary celebration assembly today: "It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities." Throughout this academic year, students have made choices that have shaped their character, their relationships, and their futures. They have chosen to embrace challenges, to persevere in the face of adversity, and to support one another with kindness and empathy. These choices have defined who they are as individuals and who we are as a community.
Together, we have made this academic year one to remember, and I am confident that the future holds even greater promise for our students and our school.
Wishing you all a restful and rejuvenating summer break filled with laughter and opportunities to create memories.
On behalf of the Senior Leadership Team

We visited numerous international schools in Klang-Valley and Sri KDU Subang Jaya was not even on our list. Reason being it is way out of our travelling radius. However, we are glad we made the visit to the school before our final call, and it was the best decision ever! It was a huge transition period for us during the first 2 weeks into school, but the school’s team (Teachers, Administrative and Parent’s Teacher Association) made us feel right at home. We were given clear guidance and was kept well informed on the happenings in the school. My daughter blended into the community quite well with the care provided by the Homeroom teacher. All the teachers here are the kindest, as she told me. She looks forward to going to school and has become more disciplined in terms on knowing what tasks she needs to complete daily. She has gained so much confidence during this short period of time and was given the encouragement to explore and develop her abilities here. She was just selected as the new Primary House Captain for Year 6 AY2022/2023.
Every parent want to find the ‘perfect’ school for their child and are afraid of making the wrong decision. For us, as long she is safe and happy, we believe, she will eventually find the way to her own success.
