Dear Families,
As friends and families share photos of snow flurries they are experiencing in my home town this week, the UK finds itself in a season of transformation—a metaphorical reflection of the changes we, as a school community, are also experiencing. Change is inevitable, and while it often carries an air of uncertainty, it also heralds the promise of growth, adaptation, and continuous improvement.
In the wise words of C.S. Lewis, "You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending." Change, though at times uncomfortable, is an essential part of our journey toward progress. Time challenges us to reevaluate, to innovate, and to embrace opportunities that can lead to positive outcomes.
Reflecting on the theme of change with my own children this week brought to mind two well-known and relatable references for families. In the classic children's book, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar", we witness the caterpillar's transformative journey into a beautiful butterfly—an allegory for the potential inherent in change. Similarly, a personal favourite of mine "Finding Nemo" takes us on an adventure through the vast ocean, illustrating how unforeseen changes can lead to self-discovery and strengthened bonds.
Below, you will find stories of resilience, updates on initiatives, and a glimpse into the positive changes underway. You will find details of three staff members who join our team in January to grow, develop and strengthen our team. Although it is sad to say goodbye to Naresh, Dawson and Landy, we wish them well as they embark on new adventures and know that staff replacing them will have a positive impact and bring fresh perspective to our school. You will also find details shared at our coffee morning today on tweaks we can and will make to improve your experiences, embracing our promise of continuous improvement. Together, let us celebrate the journey of change and create a vibrant tapestry of growth and success.
We look forward to seeing you next week and through the week from Tuesday where we will celebrate the Christmas season; opportunities for shared experiences and finding joy together. A reminder that Christmas accessories can be worn all week by all members of the community, Thursday, we have a Christmas dress up day for the primary school, Friday, Primary school students must come to school in their winter concert costumes. Friday will also see our Secondary students in their Christmas Dress up. A reminder that students on dress up days should wear red, green and gold as a representation of Christmas colours, this is entirely optional and students can chose to wear their uniforms should they want to. Finally, an invitation has been extended to our year 11 next week to join our A Level students, a mark of an inevitable change faced in the near future for our IGCSE students.
Wishing you a safe, happy weekend
On behalf of the Senior Leadership Team

We visited numerous international schools in Klang-Valley and Sri KDU Subang Jaya was not even on our list. Reason being it is way out of our travelling radius. However, we are glad we made the visit to the school before our final call, and it was the best decision ever! It was a huge transition period for us during the first 2 weeks into school, but the school’s team (Teachers, Administrative and Parent’s Teacher Association) made us feel right at home. We were given clear guidance and was kept well informed on the happenings in the school. My daughter blended into the community quite well with the care provided by the Homeroom teacher. All the teachers here are the kindest, as she told me. She looks forward to going to school and has become more disciplined in terms on knowing what tasks she needs to complete daily. She has gained so much confidence during this short period of time and was given the encouragement to explore and develop her abilities here. She was just selected as the new Primary House Captain for Year 6 AY2022/2023.
Every parent want to find the ‘perfect’ school for their child and are afraid of making the wrong decision. For us, as long she is safe and happy, we believe, she will eventually find the way to her own success.
