Dear Families
As we close another remarkable year at Sri KDU Subang Jaya, it is a pleasure to address this newsletter to you one last time for this academic year. We have historically and consistently worked towards the mission of creating a community that is safe, happy, and successful. This mission has been at the forefront of our endeavors, and our accomplishments this year.
This year, we have broadened horizons and raised expectations across learning, arts, sports, and community events and activities. Our success in these areas underscores our commitment to providing a well-rounded education. Our achievements are the result of a collective effort involving the entire community. Our teachers, learning support assistants, admin teams, and wider support staff play an indispensable role, and I would like to take a moment to celebrate and thank them. Their dedication and hard work are the cornerstones of our success, and together, we continue to build a nurturing and inspiring environment for our students. I would also like to express my specific appreciation to those staff moving on from our community and wish them the very best of luck with their endeavours. We thank our teachers; Mr Marko, Ms Mas, Ms Safina, Ms Praveena, Ms Luna, Ms Shumalia, Ms Anna, Mr Clifford, Mr Booth, Mr Joe, Mr Roberts, Mr Fahy, and Mr Dunnet. You will find further details of our new team below (some of whom were introduced last week too) Thank you also to our LSAs who depart: Ms Liyana and Ms Shobana.
In addition to thanking our school team, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the parent community. Your support and involvement this year have been invaluable, and whether you have participated in events and activities or provided feedback, your contributions have been essential to our functioning and success. We are reminded that education is a joint endeavour, and the links between home and school are vitally important. I would like to thank those parents who participated in our recent survey; your feedback is integrated into our school improvement plan for next year and we look forward to seeing some ideas and suggestions come to fruition. You will find a table sharing ‘You Said, We Will Do’ later on in the newsletter to show how we will action your feedback.
As we say farewell and best of luck to classes, classmates, and colleagues, we look forward to the coming year with confidence in the opportunities, experiences, and adventures that lie ahead. While the academic team take a well-deserved rest, our facilities team are gearing up for an incredibly busy ‘holiday period’ and we look forward to a new football field, the installation of ‘Thor’ (a lightning warning system), a full repaint of the exterior to the MPH and Gymnasium, and a reorganisation of the car park to name but a few initiatives for when we reopen in August. We also open in August with the availability of a school jacket, designed and endorsed by our student community (soon to be made available on vircle for purchase) and the option of our secondary boys to wear shorts as an alternative to trousers with their formal uniform. Further details will be shared before the beginning of the term.
We remain committed to providing an educational experience that is not only academically rigorous but also rich in character development, welfare, and community spirit. We hope you have a wonderful summer break and return in August rested and ready to go again!
Wishing you all a restful and enjoyable holiday.

We visited numerous international schools in Klang-Valley and Sri KDU Subang Jaya was not even on our list. Reason being it is way out of our travelling radius. However, we are glad we made the visit to the school before our final call, and it was the best decision ever! It was a huge transition period for us during the first 2 weeks into school, but the school’s team (Teachers, Administrative and Parent’s Teacher Association) made us feel right at home. We were given clear guidance and was kept well informed on the happenings in the school. My daughter blended into the community quite well with the care provided by the Homeroom teacher. All the teachers here are the kindest, as she told me. She looks forward to going to school and has become more disciplined in terms on knowing what tasks she needs to complete daily. She has gained so much confidence during this short period of time and was given the encouragement to explore and develop her abilities here. She was just selected as the new Primary House Captain for Year 6 AY2022/2023.
Every parent want to find the ‘perfect’ school for their child and are afraid of making the wrong decision. For us, as long she is safe and happy, we believe, she will eventually find the way to her own success.
