Dear Families
We have had a wonderfully vibrant start to the school year! Our recent Malaysia Day
assembly was a spectacular celebration of culture, heritage, and unity. The school came
alive with a vibrant bazaar, where students engaged in batik painting and enjoyed various
activities. We also held a Traditional Wear Day, and the array of beautiful, traditional outfits
worn by students and staff alike truly highlighted the diversity and richness of Malaysian
culture.
In other exciting news, we recently hosted MABECS, the Malaysian British Educational
Cooperation Services, on campus. On Wednesday, 11th September, our students had the
opportunity to attend a University Fair featuring representatives from prestigious UK
universities. It was an invaluable event for our students, giving them the chance to explore
higher education options, gain insights into academic programs, and learn more about the
application process for universities in the UK.
In addition, our Senior Leadership Team (SLT) has been leading school tours, giving parents
an opportunity to explore the campus and gain insights into daily school life. We recently
conducted a tour for Year 6 parents, and our next scheduled tour for Year 7 parents will be
held next Thursday. For more information on upcoming events, including these tours,
please refer to our online calendar on Engage.
Lastly, I would like to remind you of the upcoming "Goal Setting Meeting" on October 1st,
where you'll have the chance to meet your child's form and class teacher and discuss your
child’s targets for the academic year. More information on this will be shared closer to the
date. As we have always said, our door is always open—you are welcome to make an
appointment to come and see us, or your child's teachers, at any time. You need not wait
for larger events to engage with us; we are here to support you and your child's journey
throughout the school year.
Have a lovely weekend,
Maryam Jazayeri,
Head of Secondary
On behalf of the Senior Leadership Team
SAFE, HAPPY AND SUCCESSFUL
We visited numerous international schools in Klang-Valley and Sri KDU Subang Jaya was not even on our list. Reason being it is way out of our travelling radius. However, we are glad we made the visit to the school before our final call, and it was the best decision ever! It was a huge transition period for us during the first 2 weeks into school, but the school’s team (Teachers, Administrative and Parent’s Teacher Association) made us feel right at home. We were given clear guidance and was kept well informed on the happenings in the school. My daughter blended into the community quite well with the care provided by the Homeroom teacher. All the teachers here are the kindest, as she told me. She looks forward to going to school and has become more disciplined in terms on knowing what tasks she needs to complete daily. She has gained so much confidence during this short period of time and was given the encouragement to explore and develop her abilities here. She was just selected as the new Primary House Captain for Year 6 AY2022/2023.
Every parent want to find the ‘perfect’ school for their child and are afraid of making the wrong decision. For us, as long she is safe and happy, we believe, she will eventually find the way to her own success.
