The Teachers’ Feedback:
Working on ‘The Addams Family’ has been a joy and a pleasure as the story has been one that I have grown up with through the iconic TV series. Producing it for SKISS has been a wonderful experience and I have been lucky to have the opportunity to work with so many talented people on this year’s production and I would like to thank, in particular, our wonderful team of staff members that have worked tirelessly to put the show together.
Our students have been a credit to our school throughout the process and the passion and commitment they have shown have made the process something I will always remember. Of course, a show of this magnitude has been a challenge, but our students have truly risen to the occasion and their talent knows no bounds. I know you will all enjoy the show!

Working with the Set and Props team has been a highlight of my year here at SKISS. It has been an absolute pleasure to collaborate with such dedicated, talented and highly creative students. The whole team have worked very effectively, under a lot of pressure and to tight deadlines to ensure that the set and props would be ready on time. The team have absolutely gone above and beyond all of my expectations and have produced incredible pieces for the production. I would like to thank the team for all of their hard work over and perseverance the last two terms – ‘The Addams Family’ would not be going ahead without all of your ideas, commitment and skills! I would also like to thank the rest of the staff involved in the production for all their support; it has been a pleasure! I am already looking forward to planning next year’s set!

It has been a huge pleasure working with all the main cast, all the singers and the KS3 choir members. Most of the singers have never had any vocal training before; however, their determination and passion for singing have driven them to reach their current level.
It has been a wonderful experience working with them, developing their voices every week as they focused all their efforts to follow my guidance. In this musical, we have to admit that some of the songs were rather challenging for students technically and emotionally, especially for those students who have never had any vocal training before. However, their hard work made it happen as some of the main performers actually changed their vocal timbre throughout the rehearsals in order to convey their emotions in the scene, melting into their characters.
Although the KS3 choir only joined this production recently, they displayed as much passion as any of the other singers. I hope that they have learned from this experience and will play one of these characters next year. Thank you to all of our students for their hard work and commitment.

We visited numerous international schools in Klang-Valley and Sri KDU Subang Jaya was not even on our list. Reason being it is way out of our travelling radius. However, we are glad we made the visit to the school before our final call, and it was the best decision ever! It was a huge transition period for us during the first 2 weeks into school, but the school’s team (Teachers, Administrative and Parent’s Teacher Association) made us feel right at home. We were given clear guidance and was kept well informed on the happenings in the school. My daughter blended into the community quite well with the care provided by the Homeroom teacher. All the teachers here are the kindest, as she told me. She looks forward to going to school and has become more disciplined in terms on knowing what tasks she needs to complete daily. She has gained so much confidence during this short period of time and was given the encouragement to explore and develop her abilities here. She was just selected as the new Primary House Captain for Year 6 AY2022/2023.
Every parent want to find the ‘perfect’ school for their child and are afraid of making the wrong decision. For us, as long she is safe and happy, we believe, she will eventually find the way to her own success.
